Atlantic sea salt, coarse, suitable for salt mill
The classic among salts - coarse sea salt harvested along the Portuguese Atlantic coast. Perfect for use in a salt mill.
Features:
Our sea salt is not refined or bleached.
The sea water is channelled into crystallisation basins close to the coast and is left to evaporate in the sun.
The harvested sea salt is then washed, dried and ground.
Its high degree of dryness keeps the salt pourable and prevents lumps forming. There is no need to use anti-caking agents.

Production
The sea salt comes from a region in the eastern Algarve (Portugal). The raw salt is harvested from the salt basins and dried. It is then cleaned of stones and other impurities using sieves and sorted into different grain sizes.
Tips for preparation
Our Course Atlantic Sea Salt can be used in a variety of ways to transform all kinds of dishes. Our course-grained Atlantic sea salt is a true all-rounder in the kitchen. The salt crystals dissolve in warm dishes, giving them a balanced flavour. With cold dishes, freshly ground or sprinkled salt makes for a more intensive taste sensation as the flavour of the fine crystals unfolds on the tongue.
For that little bit extra: you can add a new dimension to your fish and meat dishes by sprinkling them with a pinch of coarse sea salt just before serving or even baking them in a salt crust. Its a real highlight with baked goods, too; whether for crispy pretzels, savoury bread sticks or pretzel sticks.
